one long long journey

hey there, for those who don't know, I'm safe and sound in the states right now. so where do i start now..ah, the day i left, at the airport.

The airport

I cried! zomgwtf!!! i myself for once can't believe this. i admit I'm not really a very emotional person, but i really cant believe i cried the day my friends and family(f&f) sent me off at the airport. But i can explain!! really! I was all well, holding back my tears when the time had finally come for us to enter the gates and part with our f&f's.
Then.. i saw the dumb ass jon yee crying! that was when my tears was finally irrepressible and started rolling down my eyes.

well it was still okay i guess, for letting a few tears roll down your eyes on the day you leave your loved ones and be apart from them for thousands of miles. But then i saw my other friend, jin crying too! oh gosh, jin was the oldest among all my friends, and obviously the most matured. even him started crying! and there i knew how much I'll miss them all in msia and that was when eu-roy turned from man to baby. haha

just a moment later, all our smiley faces turned sour.

Ames, Iowa

tired of waiting in the airport already.

After a 27hour long journey, I finally reached Des Moines airport in Iowa! to start with how weird the Americans were, they pronunciated Des Moines as De Moine. Please explain to me why they silenced the 'S'. if it were so, then why not Mississippi to just Miiippi? weird!
Lady luck shone upon me that day. i friggin left my knapsack bag in the airport and went on the car headed towards Ames! all my passports, and other important documents were all in it. i didn't really panick, was just depressed. But then i started to pray. It took the driver almost 2 hours to bring me back to the airport because he had other stuff to do..and waala! my bag was left untouched. thank god! (probably because Des Moines airport was so rural that not many people were even there, or on the other hand, people in Iowa is simply friendly! )

finally! des moines!

''Cultural Shock''

peeople often wonder why are most of the Americans obese. and i finally found out when i arrived here. Its not really the fastfood, i would say. But generally the food in which they take! I've been here for a few days, and alr worrying that i would turn fat. All i see in which what the Americans eat is burgers / sandwiches. Don't you for a second think sandwiches are healthy, because what they add into the sandwiches are cheese/mayo/mustard/ etc. To top it all up, every other restaurant here serves you bottomless soft drinks. you have pepsi, sprite, mountain dew, dr pepper (- -?), etcetc, and of course, coke. Well if drinking at the restaurants aint enough, theres always Walmart where you can get 18 500ml bottles of DIET COKE for just 10 dollars. Diet coke, my ass! But you can't really blame them, because the weather here is really dry and when u cant find water, theres soft drinks everywhere.

Goodbye

The road was filled with green traffic lights. Even the red lights were shorter than usual. Our journey was cut short.
Time seemed to fly pass faster than usual these few days. I dare to say it was just like yesterday where i graduated. And today, it's already the day i board the plane to Iowa.

This is where a new chapter in my life begins to unfold. The road ahead seems blurry, but i'm pretty determined i'd be able to clarify things.

Still so many things seem undone, many people i cannot let go of. For 18 years, Malaysia has provided me with shelter and education(though not very brilliant ones). For that, i thank her. (Though the status and condition of our country, has never really moved forward)

Before i write off, let me thank the 2 people that have always showered me with undivided love all these years. My parents.

Mum, i love you. Though i never say, i truly do.
You've always thought me the meaning of being thrifty. I was always easily influenced by others. I wanted so much to be like my friends, being able to buy branded clothes and so on. You never encouraged me to do so, only when it was really cheap. as in, really really cheap -___-

There was this time, i bought a reebok long sleeved shirt for rm50 ?(after discount alr!) u nagged me for the whole day, although i still though it was worth it. Then the following day, we went shopping together and u found me this long sleeved collar shirt for only rm19 after discount. (better quality some more!) i was left speechless.. haha

From
you, i've truly learned the value of money and how hard every cent is earned and for us to truly treasure it. Theres still much much more i've learned from you mum. but i'd have to cut it short. theres still dad remember!? hehe

Dad has always been there for me. To learning how to tie a tie, fashion, etcetc.

(thats not me, its my sis and my dad la. cant find a picture of just me and him haha)

People often say, the image of our fathers alternate differently in different stages of our life. Its so true you know!! When i was young, i tried to imitate every thing my father did. Into me teen years, everything my dad said was 'old fashioned' and i turned a deaf ear towards it. Just a couple of years later, i started listening to what my dad had to say and even followed it! His taste of collar shirts, formal shirts, and leather shoes had all influenced me! haha. (one thing of you that's never gonna influence me, smoking! hehe)

O
h, 1 more person, no way i'd forget her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
.
.
.
Sorry girls, its not you haha. its my grandma.

How she made breakfast for me, sew my clothes, took care of me. And not to forget, always the biggest 'angpau' given to me during chinese new years, birthdays, and even good results ; )
Shes the person i'd miss most when i leave for US. Haih, gotta grow up and fix my own meals and iron my own clothes now T_T

I
've still got many people i would like to thank. high school mates, college friends, friends from outer space etc. But am really too exhausted to do so. Maybe i'll post a shout out for you guys when i really do miss you all during the harsh winter in Iowa hehe =p

N
ow, as i embark on my journey, i wish everyone of you in Malaysia, or elsewhere in this world, good luck and all the very best in whatever that lies ahead of us.

A nation of robots!

Hello people! I usually am too lazy to blog so often. But today, i don't blog i cannot!
This is after i read an article in Malaysiakini here .

You just gotta wonder how many dumb asses are out there in our society. The following is parts of the article by Ong Kian Ming which i extracted.
And before this, i feel the necessity to put a disclaimer or i might end up in court =/

disclaimer : the following contents are based on what i individually think and does not represent or convey any particular message to the general public.

I agree wholeheartedly with the new Higher Education Minister Khaled Nordin ‘that allowing university students to join political parties will restrict their development into holistic first-class human capital’.

wow, when BN got the support of the nation, they urge students to participate. Now that support for BN is dwindling, participating in political parties will deter us from becoming ''first-class'' people. wtf!

In addition, to fulfill the objective of developing our university students, I hope that the esteemed minister can consider the following proposals. I propose that:

(i) The esteemed minister considers banning students from going to mamak stalls and coffee shops. These are places where nonsensical and unproductive coffee shop 'chatter' takes place, much of it involving the topics of political interest of the day.

Since we do not want our best and brightest to corrupt their ears and to waste their time by listening to this nonsense, we need to ban our students from going to these places.

wtf! mamak stalls and coffee shops are nonsesical unproductive places!!?? then where else can i eat? u think im Abdullah's son in law can afford fancy fancy restaurants day in night out ar?!
and to stop us from ''listening to nonsense such as politics'' - chop of every single ear of ours would be a better solution.

(ii) The esteemed minister considers banning students from watching football matches especially those involving foreign teams. Watching football matches, which lasts for approximately one hour 45 minutes (including the break), and more, if we take into account the prematch and postmatch shows, is an extremely unproductive use of time.

Our students could use this time more productively, for example, in discussing the latest developments in biotechnology and nanotechnology and in collaborations to build Proton a new hybrid engine.

HAHAHA. Football is an hour and 45minutes which is waste of time. then what can we do to relax? listen to politicians bicker among themselves and act like monkeys as a form of relaxation? Discuss biotechnology and nanotechnology? sorry la boss! i'm a business major knn.

In addition, we do not want our young minds to be influenced by the teams of the decadent West who are not only footballers but also flaunt their decadent lifestyles off the field.

How i hope i can emulate the ''decadent western lifestyle'' , because they can afford it FFS!
The only way i can afford it is if i become a politician! hehe=D

(iii) The esteemed minister considers banning students from watching movies in the cinemas. Watching movies is another big waste of time, time that could be better spent on academic pursuits and developing one's own human capital.

You know mr minister. it is from watching movies that i learn how to speak and write more fluently in English. I don't wanna end up like our ex information minister hoho.

In addition, many movies produced in the West promote decadent values and values which are not consistent with our Asian culture. For example, we would not want our students to be unduly influenced by the portrayal of vigilante justice and 'cool' criminals in the latest Batman movie.

okay then. lets all emulate the BN government. cool and filled with justice. yippee

(iv) The esteemed minister considers blocking access to websites such do not promote the development of human capital in all public universities and if possible in all private colleges as well.

The only websites currently promoting human capital is currently controlled by the government? i suppose?

Websites which provide access to disturbing information on matters of little importance such as the BBC, Malaysiakini, the New York Times, should be at the top of such a list.

....i say f**k you. even reading ''The Star'' sickens me nowadays. the content is not objective at all.

(v) The esteemed minister considers implementing a rule which requires all students in public universities to carry at least one book where ever they go on and off campus. This is so that students do not waste previous time when they are waiting for buses or sitting in their friend's cars or waiting in a queue or even sitting in the john, time that could be spent reading and developing their human capital.

To further encourage this kind of behavior, the esteemed minister should require all public universities to have a monthly contest to reward a 'lucky' student who is seen to be carrying more than five books (either in his or her bag or in his or her hands) in public view.

LOL! okay lah, i carry oxford dictionary and cambridge dictionary sure can win top prize alr!

(vi) The esteemed minister considers hiring unemployed graduates from public universities to carry out a massive surveillance plan that would ensure that the above-mentioned rules are followed.

There you go! tax payers money well spent!

I sincerely hope that the esteemed minister considers at least some of my recommendations made above and implement them as soon as possible.

Seriously sir, your planning to build a nation made of robots that will put up with whatever corruption and negligence of the government?

prom 08 and clubbing o.0

Eu-Roy IS NO LONGER A VIRGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

bwahahahaa! *suspense*
.
.
.
.
.
.

k la, what i meant was i'm no longer a ''clubbing virgin''.
I went to a night club in KL with a big big group of friends after our prom night in gardens mid valley.

Prom was good, judging from the fact that the money gained from it was given to charity. Errr, what charity, i kinda forgot - -

paiseh to say, i was still short of 2months to be able to legally enter a club, but i did anyway. (looks matured ma heh) The club we went to was Maison, and hell it was packed to the brim!!
Surprisingly, the liquor served tasted better than i expected, but i didn't over drink as i still needed to drive me and my group of friends home. Couldn't risk everyone.

But one thing in the club that disturbs me most is, the dance stage in the club. Only ladies were allowed onto that stage, and no MEN at all. DAMN! CANNOT TAKE ''ADVANTAGE'' of the ladies lor!

Thats one, but what so disturbing is, i could practically see hordes and hordes of guys dancing right below the dance stage. You know, they were look hungry animals waiting to pounce...

pounce on any girl that falls of the dance stage..

ouch.

As for the girls, i noted this from some of my female friends. They said they felt like they were in a zoo, locked in a cage where the males were scrutinizing their every move.

How i hope this cage was open for everyone to play with the animals hehe=P

Speech-less

(My group mates - Me, Seyen, Philip, Gary's missing cause he had class)

Speech class has finally ended. I'm pretty relieved to be honest. not because i still have speech jitters, but preparing for a speech is pretty tough i would say!

I would like to thank my group mates for being such wonderful people. Without them, I'm sure our final speech would have reached no where.

Although Philip was always late for meetings, didn't finish his work, but somehow, every single time he would get away with it. I don't know why, he just has this face that makes you unable to get mad at him! haha. But his brilliant speech delivery today somehow repaid our efforts though xD

Apart from the heavy workload to get the final speech outline drafted, I had quite a lot of fun because i was giving a speech on a topic i was enthusiastic about - A New Generation of Voters.

In speech class, I met many new faces. And we've all turned into friends since. Something i would like to express my feelings with in this post. (its not ''emo'' , don't describe me with that term, i just hate it) Well, basically it's how i feel. So bare with me for a little.

Hundreds of people walk by us every single day, but how many of them actually turn out to be close friends of ours? (shit, speech class has really gotten into me, i even use speech techniques in writing a sentence in my blog! ) erm, the point I would like to make is, that friends are rare and its not often you find friends close enough to you to share everything with.

Therefore, erm... close friends are rare -___-'

Let me continue with a story.

R was in form 1, and R was very close friends with this other boy. They went to recess together, played table tennis together (although R always got his ass kicked by his friend), and enjoyed each others company (not gay la ..!..). Then R's close friend fell in love with this girl, he asked R for help. R did help him, but to no avail. Soon in time, the girl fell for R instead. (R too charming already, cannot blame)
Oh well, R was pretty uncertain at first. But, there was this table tennis competition at that time. R's close friend then joined, R didn't (cause he sucked too much in table tennis, although he improved later on and was capable of playing like a PRO) ok, that's not the point.

So as R's close friend went for the competition, R took the chance and got together with the girl his close friend liked. WTF! dam 'jin kak' right? (I also cannot tahan) But R was so darn stupid, despite the fact that he was just 13 yrs old, he thought he could actually hide his relationship with the girl from his close friend. -.- (R was such an imbecile, i know)

Yes, his friend soon found out, was so pissed with R, and they never talked to each other since.

Dear readers, yes, you've guessed it. R in the story, was me. (duh, R=Roy)

I'm only telling this out in now in detail after so many years, is because i am too ashamed about it to speak of it. Whenever someone asks if i have any regrets in my life, yes, this is the one regret i have and that i will never forget. How stupid could i be? tarnishing the friendship i had with a close friend because of a girl. It wasn't worth it. I hope i could make up to him somehow, for my actions, but i just don't know how. We hadn't talked to each other since form 1, and i don't know his whereabouts today. Sorry is the only miserable word I can mutter out this moment.

True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost."
- Charles Caleb Colton

The reason i told you all this story, was because I wanted to tell you how important friends are to us, and how a simple misunderstanding can cause this valuable bond to break in an instance (though the above story wasn't a misunderstanding, its has d same connotations xD)

(Tim and carien missing here, but they're still included in the story hehe)

For this past week, I was kinda sad. Sad because I'm afraid this same thing might happen to be again. Just recently, among our clique of friends in college, one of us has given us all the cold treatment. Probably because of a little misunderstanding, or some other reason, i don't know. But i am willing to take blame if things would get back to as before, a time where all of us had no secrets, where we joked about each other more freely.

Eu-Roy you look so short today! Yerr Eu-Roy you wear like beggar lah today! Eu-Roy your the laziest person i ever met!!!!! Eu-Roy that girl will never like you lah come on! Eh Eu-Roy please lah, get a prom date for god's sake you lonely freak! WALAU eu-roy u got EX-girlfriend before ah? UNBELIEVABLE LEH!

...
These are the jokes that really strengthen the bonds we have
. Something I will surely miss if we can no longer talk about all these things.

For of all the million's of people that have passed by me through my lifetime, God has given us the opportunity for us to be friends, not strangers we once were. Hopefully, nobody or nothing will be strong enough to take what God has given to us away.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
- Anais Nin

A laughing stock

The time to board the plane to US draws nearer and nearer day by day, its less than a month now.
Everything still seems so yesterday, yet its almost time to leave my country after 18 years.

18 years, Malaysia has provided me with shelter, love and care. But i sympathize of it's current condition.

Politicians are bickering every second. and our leader sits by the side, enjoying all these drama as he tries to re-fortify his position as the country's leader.
The people wants him to leave the throne, not satisfied with his leadership. In return, he blames bloggers for contributing to this country's downfall as he runs out of reasons.
He sets the year 2010 for his aide to take over. If it happens, i dread to think of what shall befall our nation.

Corruption is wide spread in the country, the Anti Corruption Agency(ACA) takes no action. When people start scrutinizing them, suddenly out of no where, they successfully nab 2 high ranked immigration officers.
Poor immigration officers, of all the corrupted politicians, they are sought as the scapegoats of the whole political system.

T
alking bout the ACA, i remember seeing 'The Sun's front page, showing statistics of how the ACA has performed over the years. i kinda forgot the exact statistics, but its awful i tell you.
Its kinda like of thousands of alleged cases reported, only a few hundred are looked into, 10% of the hundreds detained, and another 1% of the 10% detained was prosecuted.
But then i flipped The Star, and i couldn't even find the same article in it. surprising?
Yes, this has been the case. Much of our media does not report what supposedly will 'tarnish' the image of our government.

I tuned out to TV3's midnight news yesterday, after the Anwar Shabery debate.

Guess what i saw. There were highlights of the debate, highlights of questions being asked to both Anwar and Shabery, and also highlights of Shabery answering the questions. And nothing on anwar. Was Anwar a bad speaker? i felt he pummeled his opponent in the debate though. But why aren't the news reporting it? Are they trying to protect our information minister, Shabery? freedom of press konon.

All this worries me. Our politicians have recently also issued some sorta warning to US stating our sovereignty asking them to keep their hands off our matters. ouch. Why can't our politicians keep a low profile huh, our country's politics are already a laughing stock, and they still try to make matters worst by doing all these.

Imagine if this happens to me when i reach Iowa.

Ang Moh : hi!
Eu-Roy : hi.
Ang Moh : nice to meet you, where you from?
Eu -Roy : nice meeting you too, I'm from Malaysia.
Ang Moh : oh! i know Malaysia! it is one of the countries in the world with the highest corruption rate right?
Eu-Roy : ...............................................

A letter of petition

Scolding teachers, getting involved in fights, defying rules.. etc.
that was me during high school. But it has long gone since i started university.
But..but... its about to be rekindled!!!!!!!! because Taylors Uni College (TUC) have came up with a ridiculous new ruling! (cant' post the notice for the new ruling cause apparently the TUC site is not working, but words in red are the new regulations set by the TUC authority)

zomg! dress code like these for university students? Hell i didn't pay thousands of dollars every semester to adhere to such rubbish! High school ah u think!?

I cant possibly describe how mad i am right now!
relax relax, i'm not going to pick up a fight or find trouble with the lecturers/administrators in TUC because I'm no longer the rebellious me during high school. But hell i shall not let this matter rest!

As i have matured along the years, so has my methods of dealing with these situations which are now more sophisticated >)

I shall write a letter to the admin, stating my adversity. Here it goes :

Dear TUC boss and every underling under you, :

Letter of dissatisfaction.

I
am thoroughly disappointed with the new dress code requirements of TUC students.
I find it ridiculous, and although so. i do not support certain demonstrations planned by other students as i am much more civilized. hehe

However, it does not mean that I am in anyway about to tolerate this new dress code ruling.

THus, i shall use my reasoning skills acquired from my Speech 105 class to reason with you.

Dress code policy : All students must be readily identified at all times
Is this discriminating or what? i did not gel/style my hair so stylishly to be wrongfully identified as a terrorist leh.

Attire should not contain any offensive, obscene, indecent language /artwork.
You do understand that it is just 'artwork' . so how can my attire be offensive / indecent?
If you insist, then naked paintings by michael angelo in Rome would ought to be burned.

Hair should be neat/clean and not excessively colored.
Another high school ruling. What? if my hair is dirty..like u will even realize it? or would u cut my hair like what my high school teachers did if my hair is long?

Footwear : slippers and flip flops are not allowed.
Tuition fees have cost a bomb. With rising petrol prises, where to find money for shoes. Slippers and flip flops are an alternative, not a sign of disrespect. Please take note.

Shorts, singlets, spaghetti strap tops, tubes, off shoulder tops, revealing undergarments, low necklines, excessively short skirts, exposing of midriff, bareback, transparent garments are not allowed.
1. This is the one i cant stand the most! i did not pay thousands of dollars to come to a private university only to see all the girls clad in long sleeves and long pants OK!!! I guarantee if this ruling is passed, the percentage of 'pornographic web surfers' within Taylors premises will certainly rise!

then i would advise the your admin and security personnel to keep a close watch for this guy!

haha. ok the picture was a joke. But i'm serious about the others.

Yours sincerely,
Eu-Roy, Lai
a very pissed off TUC student.

The Road Not Taken - Robert Frost

Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.

1. The Road Not Taken

-Robert Frost-

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, 10

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. 15

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. 20

Hopefully, the path less traveled would make the difference for me too.

Gender Equality? hell yes.

Its the time of the year where my weekends are bored because EPL, UEFA etc are all over.
Here I sit, blogging. what to blog? nothings happening enough in life worthy of me typing it out.
Ah i know. gender equality >)

Cut it short, i'm no male chauvinist and i fully support gender equality. hehe.
nowadays, u can see feminist groups running all over shouting for women's rights. women's organizations fighting for suppressed women etc.
im cool with that, just that... sometimes, things get a little out of control.........ahem*

Gender equality. For those men out there that disagree with me and still hold to the fact that male domination over women is good, let me enlighten you with the pro's of having gender equality in todays world.

First of all. if men and women were equal, that meant that, we as MEN, will NO AND SHALL NO longer succumb to our women counterparts and pay for dates. Yes, u heard me. men will no longer have to pay for women's meals!
even the food will taste better then :P

Secondly, if there is gender equality, men will no longer have to propose to women for marriages.
Yes, we, MEN, will NOT KNEEL down in proposal for marriages. It will be equal and therefore, don't even expect us to come with a ring asking for marriage. it will be a legal agreement whereby both sides agree upon.

DONE DEAL. we're now married.

Thirdly, women will now have to carry their own shopping goods / groceries. Because we men and women are equal and thus, the goods carried by both sides shall be of own possession.
yes, poor fellow men. no more suffering. WE dont even need to carry their bags no more! rejoice!
(p/s this photo is obtained from a fellow blogger. dont be mad when u see this lol:D )

so fellow men out there, with gender equality implemented, we seriously will have little or no value to women out there. And I was told a recent scientific study has also proven that women would not need the male sperm to give birth. They can do it somewhat by duplicating their genes on their hair or something. But based on my biology knowledge, without the crossing-over of chromosomes, there wont be any variation on the babies given birth to.

Then i would simply hope Megan Fox decides to do this duplication of her own hair, and this..
would then turn into...
Yes. all the women in the world would one day look like megan fox. lovely.

Sharing is Caring

Hello! :D Yes yes, after so long, im finally ready to update.

A quick recap on what has happened so far.
- Theatre finals was absolutely awesome.

- Ive been accepted into Iowa state university, and plan to leave my dearest msia early August.
- It will be my last semester here studying in ADP. Thus, i plan to take only 2 subjects too ensure i have enough time to relax before i leave : )
- Just got back from Redang not too long ago.

Haih, talking about finally leaving Malaysia. What have i done/accomplished all these years i was here...i wonder XD oh well. And worst of alll.............
im leaving Malaysia as a VIRGIN!!!!!!!!!

ok shit, i know its not nice to say it out here, but what if the people in US tease me just because im a virgin!!?!? holy XXXXXX!!!

OK fine, being a virgin is not that bad, i know many of you out there are in the same category as me lol, im sure we're all PROUD of that! yes im sure!!! ; )
But worst of all. im leaving without a girlfriend T____T
Some of you might b already thinking that its not that bad after all, as long distance relationships are hard to mantain. True true i agree, butttt think of it guys... when u leave this land, can u imagine that theres nobody to...

miss u, dream of you, long for you to come back to Malaysia~~

Then, without all these stuff listed above, what reason do i have to come back to Malaysia from the distant land of the US??!!!

!!!!!HOLYYYYYY XXXXXXX !!!!!!!

Haihhhh, whyyy does this happen to me!!!
My lecturer Mr leong tells me theres more women in this world than men. And i doubt that theres more nuns than monks... so.... [Lesson1: women population > men population] ... how come no gf?!
My friends (specifically shan n ji-an), always say i'm ugly, and therefore no girl would want me T___T but..but..but...

When i always go shopping with my parents (lonely guy mar, with no credit card**), i see all these even uglier guys than me, holding some pretty girls hands. ZZOMG!!
What is this!!!! IS THERE NO JUSTICE??!!! and then im observe these ''uglier men than me''..
wa... wear all branded oh!!! no wonder la! the pretty girls want their money... ohh i understand i understand. [Lesson 2 -women are attracted to rich guys]

But then i got an ugly friend ( tan wooi hau, lolzzzz im so dead XD) , his gf very pretty oh. Although his rich, im pretty sure his gf didnt like him for his money, as she wouldnt have known that Mr Tan was a rich guy before being his gf. THEN WHATS THE DAMN REASON!!?
ahhhhh... i know i know, its what's deep down, its the [ heart that matters -Lesson3 ]

ZZOMG? Then why I NO GF!!? (READERS PLS SCROLL FURTHER DOWN for reference) , u see me in kiwanis???? See how friendly i am with the kids? see how they adore me???
How come then i still got no gf. I feel no justice T___T

Some of u at this point, might be alr getting annoyed by me.
what the hell, this freaking guy so damn desperate for a gf.. thick face man!
OKok, once again,
u might feel that im desperate and theres actually no need for a girlfriend in a guys life. But i must then stress again, gf's are important! Why?
Because u dont wanna end up like the poor guy on the right side. (Nobody to lean onto in times of need T.T - Hey bro, i feel for u. i really do hehe)

Haih, poor dude.. thats why a gf can be essential! =P But then again..

When girls are limited, there are always alternatives - TO SHARE

aHH. Two guys and a girl, that way.. im sure all men would have a gf :D - LESSON 4

SO, any guy out there willing to share? =)

Tiringly Enjoying!

hello people! been real busy again:D much thanks to theatre and business communications hehe.
So heres what i did for my theatre mid term.

The office! as u can see from the poster , its a musical XD and every1 that knows me, knows that im soooo verrrry good in singing bwahahaha. Well u cant blame me, i dont really sing a lot usually and thankgod, i didnt have to really sing alone for too long in that musical play as i was acting as the ''office ghost'' which supposedly is ugly and scary, but as u know.....
a person like me that intends to portray ugly and scary wor.... very hard lah =D

But one thing, d moment i opened my mouth to sing, i could hear the audience laughing.
My voice must be so good it brings joy to people lolzzz.

OK fine, but their laughter soon seized when the sad moment in the musical play arrived which was brilliant potrayed by me. >) jkjkXD

haha, ok nuff self praise. All in all, i really enjoyed this theatre mid term. The other groups were brilliant too!
So if u all wanna see the theatre video, i do have it. but i cant simply post it on you tube to show the world, im not that cheap lolzzzz.
Theatre 101 section 2 class! Great people, lotsa fun! im right behind, in black =D

So that was how busy i was for Theatre. As for Business comm (gbus) , it kept me busy with various projects. One of them, which required me to do service learning.
Me and my group decided to participate in a recycling campaign, and also go to the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) to help do a lil social work.

The recycling campaign really taught me a lot. I've never seen so much recyclable stuff at once u know. And it was really lots of hard work helping out in that campaign.
But, what really touched me most was going to KDSF to volunteer as a helper.

I've always liked children, but this time, it was down syndromed children that i had to take care of. I didnt really know what to do at first, but some teachers there guided me and instructed me on how to take care of them.

I must say, the children there were totally adorable!!! OK, i know... so-not-me, but i really enjoyed it although it was super tiring to exercise with them(which i had to go jogging with them etc), teach them, and also play with them.

However, it was really a memorable trip. There was this chubby lil boy who was Shairul. His really hyperactive man! And also always wanting to eat! (i only found out about this later on during recess that when he put his finger in his mouth, he meant he was hungry, and he did that since an hour ago be4 recess lol) but somehow or another, i soft skills managed to win him over to listen 2 me lolzz.

Then there was this cute lil boy, Darren. The way he looked at me, was like he had millions of stuff to tell me, but couldn't express himself. Then...................
he touched my spiky beard haha. he felt so weird after that he touched his own lower cheek but found nothing lol :D

There were many other children which i enjoyed spending time with - wei jun, alissa, etcetc. And i must admit, i had loads of fun while helping out the teachers in KDSF. Then as the children were about to go home, all of them were parting good bye with me and my friends. Then this super cute malay girl walked over to me, took my hand, and kissed it as I said goodbye to her. Oh my, this kiss could surely heal any love deprived soul in the world lolzzz.

I would certainly be glad to go back there to help agn as a little care for those less fortunate than us would very well make their world and ours a much better place.
P/s , will upload pics of the trip to KDSF later on.

heres d pics i promised.
High Five! man, do they love me..lolzzzzz
Handling the kids was really exhausting
Aiya malas to post all, but i needed to post this shit pic to repay ye shan for sending d pics...

Here it is, lousy ye shan acting all kind n caring. Fake

In a blink of an eye........

Happy new year people! :) A bit late, but hey, i've been really really busy aaaaaaaand lazy recently.

Its been a long long time since i've updated, mainly because of squirrelz! hehe. well u see, he was back in aussie, and i had to spend most of my time teman-ing him playing games loll.
Since ive mentioned bout him, allow me to elaborate further ;)

Well u see, squirrel is a very close friend of mine. So i've been spending much time with him till d very moment he left to melbourne to continue his studies in melbourne uni. I must say, i miss him lolzzzzzzzz. OK i sound a lil gay, but u cant really blame me rite? squirrelz is a special friend of mine.

Special because.........

His the only guy that doesnt eat potato chips with his hands. He uses a chopstick...
He even eats durian and ''mantau's'' with chopsticks.. (his not a pro in using chopsticks, he just happens to waste the food)

He doesnt eat prawns when his mum is not around.. (his mum peels d skin off for him)

When he needs to use the toilet late at night on the street, he would drive for 10meters to the toilet rather than walk. (he says its dangerous).

He actually ASKED for a cybercafe cashier to COLLECT RM3 instead of rm2.50 because the exchange of coins would be troublesome!!!!!!!!!

Special or not? u tell me.

Here's a pic of him. (Sad enough i hated taking pics, and therefore i had to look through my pc to finally dig out a photo during of our form5 times that has me n him together.

(Bottom row, third from left happens to be squirrel. The 1 laughing like a maniac =P)

Seeing this picture, i must say the memories of the times we spent together during form5 have been rekindled. I really do miss them. And now, i probably might not see squirrelz for years to come if i am really accepted by the US universities i applied for. Sobs.

OK enough of squirrelz for d time being lol. Well, nothing much to update about me. This semester has been so far kinda fun, much thanks to theatre. Well mid term is coming up, my group has decided to do a musical play. *gulps* u know how well i can sing don't you.. lolzz

University Applications? A hassle!

Time flies. In just a blink of an eye, it alr is the year 2008.
Zink and Squirrel back from Aussie. New winter semester in ADP. New subjects to look forward to.
Worst of all, time to get my lazy ass moving and to start applying for the universities i wish to enter in the US.

Well, i have to admit, i am so lazy myself, i have left the long list of things needed to apply for uni's till the VERY VERY last minute. paiseh, i even advised yin not to leave things till d last minute.

Applying for uni's in the US is plain trouble. theres no mentor to guide you through and help u do everything for a small fee. Heck, some even help u fill in the application form! Talk bout going overseas to be independent huh..

Anyway, to apply to a uni, i need to download tonnes of forms and fill them up. go through countless pages of online application forms, and for some uni's such as texas a&m, i even have to write a personal statement. now who sticks to the guidelines while writing their personal statement eh? >)

I've read timothy's personal statement. Gosh, he even sounds like a saint in it! damn i dont think he even does 1/10 of the stuff written inside!!! now if i were to write an HONEST personal statement about myself... well.. i probably wouldl look like a father of all villains compared to the holy saint timothy. And i bet everyone that writes their personal statement are a bunch of fakes trying to impress. Soooooo, i shall allow myself to do so for once. =)

My name is Lai Eu-Roy, i am a confident, bright, intelligent, loving, diligent, compassionate teenager.
beat that.

Damn
I might even wanna mention that im handsome if i know the person thats about to read my application is a female.

Well, are the the listings of the 4 uni's im applying to.
Texas A&M
San Diego State University
Ohio Columbus
Iowa state University.

Hopefully, i can get my application done soon before the work in college starts piling up.

Texas A&M university. It even looks like the white house. holy!

cant wait to be there.
