So there we stood, with our luggage looking for a taxi to bring us to our hotel. We were like...
''Water Fish'' (Sui yu in cantonese) ..all the taxi drivers there knew we were tourist. Conspiring to suck us dry.
Me : Bang, pergi ke hotel crown prince berapa?
Taxi Driver : rm35 SAJE..
Me : @$^#%&#%*#$* ??????
Taxi Driver : crown prince sangat jauh tau?...
Me : Ku tak tau..
But really, we had no choice either. Either to get cheated, or no hotel to check in. After much bargaining by ye shan.. rm30 was the price. (We later found out, the bus to the hotel was only rm1 !!!!!!!!!, damn! ) At this point, we were like...
Dead Fish, kena suck-ed dry.We soon met up wit ji-an, wooi hau and pui yan in the hotel. Now now.. it was time to decide who would sleep on d bed, as we had 7 people, 1 room, 2 single beds.
Ji-an was d nicest, she said she didnt mind sleeping anywhere. All d better..lol.
After much negotiation, it was decided that the 2 single beds were to be put side by side, 5 of us on d bed, 2 of us on d floor.
Wooi hau and his gf pui yan decided to sleep on d floor ( not of goodwill, but they wanted privacy...what privacy in a room with 7 ppl they could wish for? i dont know either.
as for d positions on the bed, poor me. ye shan and timmy were couples, so they were gonna have 1 side of the bed. 3 left to go. Nobody wanted to sleep in d middle of the bed. Jon yee was a spoilt brat, he refused to sleep there. Ji-an was didnt mind as usual, haih.. but me being a gentleman.. i volunteer to sleep lo. lolzzz (Ye shan was dam bloody happy at this point)
After the arrangements, those ppl said .. :'' nothing wertt, sleep in d middle quite comfortable ma!!!.. knnccb (i learned this in penang =D ) ..
As u could see, the two beds put together would still make a gap in between. Yaya.. ye shan stuffed it with blanket sheet. -.- No use la deng! When i slept on it, i could still feel d gap behind me. Super uncomfortable ok? dont believe u go try... What to do.lesson learned :'' dont pandai-pandai be gentleman when theres nobody ure keen of around.''
The following night, ji-an, our penang host, decided to bring us to upper penang road, to a pub to chill out and relax. I've never really been to a pub, what more a club. So i didnt know what we were in for. D only club in upper penang road, momo club closed down recently. Therefore, those regular clubbers turned to a pub instead.
Doing the things they do in a club, in a pub.
We wanted to chill out ok. But these ppl came in as i was enjoying d remixed music of artists' such as kelly clarkson, etc etc. They started dancing, more of shuffling. So the DJ decided to play some trance music. Soooon, the pub we were in, turned into a club!!!!!
No offense to the regular clubbers that love to shuffle, but i find the dance simply hilarious. We laughed like hyenas in the pub seeing those ppl dance.
It was like..err, say.. frogs dancing, turning 360' and their hands shaped like knives, poking everywhere.
The atmosphere was Not to the extent where i wished for though. (I wished for smth like this in a club... )
To my disappointment..our pub-club's atmosphere was like, some underage kids dancing like frogs in their fancy pyjamas.
I ordered a Pina Cada. Rm18. It taste like crap, really. Not worth it at all.
But think again, rm18 for a good laugh? Every cent was well spent! :D
The penang trip was great.
Great food, great ppl, wonderful friends. I certainly would like to thank our host ji-an for it.
However if u ask me if i would like to go back to penang agn, the answer is no. lol=D
